80 000 NEW BEE WORKERS
03. May 2024
Climate change, industrial or agricultural activity or deforestation have a negative impact on the environment. As a result, bees are declining worldwide. And if there are no bees, there will be no pollinated flowers, fruits and maybe not even us…
That’s why we’ve enlisted 80,000 bee brigadiers to fight for our green future. These are the two bee colonies that will be cared for by our beekeeper Rudolf Kotrusz from Zoborské Bees.
We have been working with Rudolf Kotrusz since 2021, when we supported his Educational Apiary project in Zobor through the Innovative with Foxconn grant program. And since then, volunteers from the company’s Good Club have been coming to help out in this apiary. 🩵
We believe that supporting beekeepers and starting new bee colonies has a tremendously positive impact on the local ecosystem, even around Foxconn.
Although our company is located in an industrial park, it is in close proximity to fields, the Zobor forest and a stream where bees find plenty of nectar and water. In addition, it is proven that honey from polyculture plantations, which are typical of cities, is healthier than honey from the countryside. In the countryside there is a monoculture environment and a lot of pesticides from spraying, which endanger the bees. So, paradoxically, honey from the city contains fewer pathogens and residues than honey from the countryside.
So may the bees do well in our country, we wish them a season full of nectar. Because it is thanks to them that we can see our future green.
