Attractive Nitra thanks to Foxconn

The best projects of the grant program of the Nitrianska komunitna nadacia “Innovative with Foxconn” are being completed. The winning project of a pleasant public sitting – Square Seeds will be held in the historic heart of Nitra – on Svatopluk´s Square in the spring of 2022.
Residents and visitors of Nitra will find this space in front of the Andrej Bagar Theater in Nitra. Square Seeds connects modern technologies with culture and natural elements. The buildings not only offer a pleasant sitting in the historic city center in the shade of greenery, but also produce a solar energy, on the basis of the irrigation system and LED lighting work. The atmosphere is completed by natural planting.
“We are very pleased that Foxconn has chosen our project to support it. We have thus acquired a new partner with whom we believe that we will develop a long-term cooperation. At the award ceremony I mentioned that when the call for the Foxconn grant program came out, it felts that it was set up just for us, because it combines the pursuit of innovative solutions, public spaces, green strategies, new technologies and the involvement of young people. It is great to know that there is a company in Nitra that wants to stand by the side of new projects and activities, ” said Slávka Civáňová from the Andrej Bagar Theater, who is the author of the idea of Square Seeds.
Other winning projects of this year are also being completed – an educational tourist trail and the planting of fruit trees next to the cycle route in Janíkovce. All three projects were supported by Foxconn Slovakia in the amount of 7,000 euros. “We also want to contribute to the improvement and development of Nitra and its surrounding areas. We care about the city in which our company is based and operates. We therefore want to take an active part in creating a more beautiful and modern city, “said Ladislav Prochazka, a spokesman for Foxconn Slovakia, about this year’s projects.
