Foxconn Slovakia resumed production after Easter
08. April 2020
Leading manufacturer of consumer electronics, Foxconn Slovakia Nitra, after a temporary shutdown, resumed production to the date as planned, from April 14, 2020. The scope of production is promptly adjusted according to current demand.
Foxconn Slovakia introduced a number of preventive measures against the spread of coronavirus even before the temporary shutdown of production and intensified them during the interruption of production. All employees and suppliers were obliged to wear protective masks throughout the company premises already before the shutdown. In addition to the masks that have already been handed out, there are others waiting for employees when they arrived at work.
All employees, suppliers and visitors are obliged to measure their temperature and disinfect their hands every time they come to the company. Intensive disinfection of the company’s premises, employee transport buses, incoming mail and consignments continues, and the transported material is taken over without contact with truck drivers. During the shutdown, the production lines were disinfected. In order to increase the protection of employees, two-meter distances have been implemented in places where a large number of people are present.
Foxconn Slovakia started to take measures against coronavirus before it was ordered by the state authorities, and their scope was always wider and in advance of the requirements of the government or the Central Crisis Staff. Thanks to the above-mentioned and many other detailed measures, no case of Covid-19 has been reported in the company so far.
