Innovations with Foxcon: We have distributed grant checks
25. February 2019
As part of the Innovations with Foxcon grant program, we have financially supported six projects of young people, focusing on high school innovations and community development.
Secondary schools, individuals and non-profit organizations could apply for the grant. The aim of the grant program was to support innovations in secondary school education. The program also supported the introduction of voluntary programs for young people and their activation within the local community.
Nineteen publicly beneficial projects entered the first year of the grant program. They were all excellent, so after the difficult decision making at Foxcon, we chose six best ones to share € 8,935.
We cooperated at the grant program with the Nitra Community Foundation, which covered the administration and announcement of projects as well as their consultation. We handed over the grant checks at the festive ceremony in the Regional Education Center in Nitra.
And which projects have received the grants?
The scientific workshop of the civic association George Science, which will carry out a series of educational workshops for children, where they will learn in a fun way new knowledge from scientific experiments focused on food.
The promotion of volunteering among young people will be ensured via Community Center in Nitra, through interactive lectures at schools as well as direct involvement of young people in voluntary activities within the Volunteering Week.
