Foxconn is the world’s fifth largest employer, according to Trend magazine. Currently, 667,680 employees work for the company.
Hon Hai Precision Industry, better known as Foxconn, is a Taiwanese multinational electronics manufacturing company. Today, it is also the world’s largest provider of electronics manufacturing services.
Foxconn manufactures electronic products for major US, Canadian, Chinese and Japanese companies. The best-known products manufactured by the company include the BlackBerry, iPad, iPhone, iPod, Kindle, Xiaomi, and PlayStation and Xbox. Since 2012, Foxconn’s factories have produced approximately 40 percent of all consumer electronics sold worldwide.
The largest employer in the world is the American Walmart (2.2 million employees), a multinational retail company operating a chain of hypermarkets and grocery stores. There are three Chinese state-owned companies on following places, and Foxconn is fifth.
