WE HELPED BREAK THE VOLUNTEER RECORD

At the end of June, as part of the 15th annual Volunteering Week, various volunteering activities took place throughout Slovakia. And we would like to brag about the record, which our colleagues also helped to achieve.

The Volunteering Week is organized by volunteer centers and organizations in all regions. In the current year, a record 6,469 participants took part, who worked 25,180 hours, which, when converted to the economic value of the work, represents more than 134,000 euros dedicated to volunteering.

In the Nitra Region, in addition to Foxconn Slovakia, this volunteer event, organized by the Nitra Volunteer Center, was attended by 27 other organizations and companies that helped in 37 activities. Our colleagues beautified the sports complex of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (Beach Courts of the SPU CUŠ).

In addition, however, it was also possible to clean the train station in Nitra, the Nitra Amphitheater, and Alej na prameni. The Klokočina Community Center, Hospice, ZSS Borinka, ZpS Zobor, Shelter for Individuals with Children, outdoor areas of schools have been beautified. Volunteers also helped in the social field, they looked after seniors and clients of social service facilities. The events DOBRO.trh, Beh za Hospic and 2 large collections for families from disadvantaged backgrounds were organized for Úsmev kako dar and OZ Podaj mi ruku.

Activities during the Volunteering Week in the Nitra region were also carried out in Topoľčany, Levice, Zlaté Moravce, Zbehy, Cabaji Čápori, Slepčany, Komjaticice and Bojna.
